By setting up a large database of aneurysm patients who underwent endovascular repair, we aspire to answer a multitude of research questions and improve clinical care and outcomes for aneurysm patients!
The RADAR consortium started in 2021 as an initiative to join forces to
unravel the mystery behind abdominal aortic aneurysm remodeling
after endovascular repair, the ART in EVAR study. For this study, a large
database is created, but we realized that with this database, we can
answer a much larger multitude of research questions related to
aneurysms and EVAR. Therefore, we decided to start the RADAR
consortium and use this partnership to join forces and knowledge to
unravel other mysteries and questions surrounding aneurysms and
EVAR and improve clinical care. So, our first RADAR project is using AI
to create a prediction model for aneurysm remodeling, but there
are many more projects to come!
